Greene County Fair queen visits Rotary
Greene County Fair Queen Lindsey Gilbert visited the Rotary Club of Waynesburg during the group’s Aug. 15 meeting and gave her presentation on what the fair means to the community. She will give the same presentation of “Greene County Fair 133 Years and Growing” when she meets with the 60 other fair queens across Pennsylvania during the annual Fair Queen Contest in Hershey this January. Lindsey used her “growing” display to talk about all of the things that make the Greene County Fair special, from the 4-H livestock shows to the amusement rides to the fair food and, most importantly, the people. She is shown with club President Kelly Step, right, and members Melody Longstreth and Bettie Stammerjohn.
