Rotary Club of Waynesburg Annual Service Projects

The Rotary Club of Waynesburg (7305) was chartered on June 3rd, 1937. Over the years, our club has supported many different local, national and international projects. Below are examples of our annual club service projects:

Literacy Project – Every year we go into all Greene County 3rd grade classes and read “Andy and Elmer’s Apple Dumpling Adventure” which teaches the students the principles of the 4 Way Test.

Salvation Army Bell Ringing – Assists the Salvation Army during the Holiday Season

Corner Cupboard Food Bank Bag Packing – Packing children’s food bags several times a year for distribution

Treasures for Children – Purchasing children’s Christmas gifts through the Salvation Army

Flags for Heroes – Memorial Day, July 4th and Veterans’ Day Flag display at the Greene County Fairgrounds to honor local heroes of all types

WL Stewart Scholarship through Waynesburg University

“Service Above Self” – Awards four, $1,000 scholarships to graduating Greene County high schools seniors that participate in the Rotary INTERACT group in their school – The Career and Technology Center, Jefferson Morgan, and Southeastern Greene Schools
